Functional Pottery
Please use this page as a resource for the three lines of functional pottery that I currently offer. All of the shapes are made in all three styles: Quail, Mountains with Horses, and Mountains with River and Trees. I make many other items that are not pictured as well as special orders. If you wish to order a piece please contact me for additional pictures, quantities on hand (or production time) & shipping rates.

My stoneware is dishwasher, oven and microwave safe. All glazes are food safe.

                                Cooking and Serving in Stoneware
Stoneware is excellent for all oven baking because it conducts heat evenly and uniformly. Your new stoneware pot will last a long time if you remember a few pointers:

     • Stoneware does not like sudden and extreme temperature changes.
     • If the pot is to be put into a hot oven preheat with hot water.
     • Or, put into a cold oven and allow it to heat up with the oven.
     • Never use stoneware on direct heat or under a broiler.
     • Preheat any pot to which you are adding boiling liquid.
     • Have pot at room temperature if using in microwave oven.

Each piece of raku is one of a kind. The pieces pictured here give you an idea of the shape, size, and color that I work with. Contact me for current piece availability and pricing.

Raku Care
Raku pieces are fragile and do not hold water. They are not meant for food service. Clean with a soft cloth or compressed air.
